after trying BlogRush for about a week (hosting it on my blog), i can now say with certainty that they never even got close to serving any links that looked even remotely like relevant links to relevant blogs. basically, they serve you ad links and don't pay you for it. they claim to bring you traffic by listing your blog on relevant other blogs, but that claim is unverifiable. i don't care so much about getting traffic, but listing completely irrelevant ads for free is not really what i want to do.
they seem to have a pretty hard time keeping their servers up. and even when their ad servers are up, the servers for showing your statistics (the only way that could at least remotely give you an idea of what they are doing) have a surprising tendency to be under maintenance but
they will be up again very soon! really!
for some reason, i found the idea to introduce pyramid schemes on the web interesting, if only for the fact of how all the stuff that you know in real life eventually also shows up on the web. but most real-life pyramid scheme people at least do a fairly good job of making you think everything is going more or less smoothly. this is a really important part of pyramid schemes, probably the most important part of all. BlogRush somehow failed to recognize this.
