yes, i would agree with you on this dret. After sitting on my butt for 2 days inside a dark conference room, I knew i needed to see a little more of Portland. I took the concierge's advice and took the Max train up the hill to the Washington Park Zoo stop (10 mins). This is the southern terminus of the Wildwood Trail. I jumped on the trail at the Vietnam Memorial and headed north through 3 beautiful miles of the Hoyt Arboretum before crossing Burnside Road and climbing up to the Pittock Mansion. A light rain started so I turned around and headed back down to Washington Park, weaving my way through the Japanese and Rose Gardens and eventually reached the downtown district. Total Mileage was around 9 miles. A great find, just minutes from downtown...
